Staff wellness grant
Note: The 2008-2009 grant application period will end on June 30, 2008.
For the fifth consecutive year, the Trust is pleased to offer the Staff Wellness Grant Program to assist school districts in funding staff wellness activities. We encourage you to meet with your wellness committee, review your district's top three health risks from the fall 2007 health assessment, and plan staff wellness activities that encourage participation. Ultimately we hope that over time, the activities positively impact the district's health risks by keeping healthy staff healthy and shifting higher-risk staff to a lower-risk status.
The grant your district is eligible to receive is based on your district's fall 2007 WEA Trust Health Assessment participation. Districts are eligible to apply for $5 for each Trust health plan participant who completed the Trust's health assessment. If at least 50% of those eligible completed the Trust's health assessment, your district will be eligible for a minimum grant of $300.
Districts must have the Trust health plan as of September 1, 2008, to receive the grant monies. Districts who submit an approved grant application and meet all grant criteria will receive their grant monies after September 2, 2008.
